NMBWC members Christina Johnson, Sherry Baldwin, Connie Holston, & Debbie Ritter presented a $1,000 check to Luke Sharp with Coastal Adaptive Sports. SCFWC Progress Foundation helped to fund this donation as part of a national grant to help local GFWC Clubs fund non- profit organizations in their areas.
Also pictured are photos from a recent event at the NMB Park and Rec area, hosted by Coastal Adaptive Sports on March 10. Over 25 bikers and volunteers came out to enjoy the blue skies and warm temperatures as well as the wonderful exercise from the ‘customized’ bikes supplied by Coastal Adaptive Sports.
All monies from this donation will be used locally to help purchase additional equipment needs for various sporting venues utilized by adults of all ages who have some type of muscular or physical impairments. It is amazing and incredible to see the generosity of those who are able bodied to come out and find a way to help those who want to join in the ‘game’, Whether it is playing wheelchair basketball, biking, surfing, a large wheeled chair for the beach; if there is a way to make it user friendly, this organization will find it…. Anyone who would like to donate to this wonderful organization, or you would like to contact them at coastaladaptivesports@gmail.com. They are a 501(c)3 Non -Profit organization, and would appreciate hearing from you.
